What is GeoEV?
GeoEV is an EV charging intelligence platform. It combines a worldwide charging-station directory with live status reported by participating operators, so you can find the best place to charge — not just the nearest pin.
Does GeoEV show whether a charger is free?
Only where it can be confirmed. Participating operators publish live connector status directly to GeoEV. Where a charger isn't part of a live feed, it's shown from public map data and clearly marked "Status not reported" — GeoEV never claims an availability it can't confirm.
Where does the charger information come from?
Locations, connectors, power and opening hours come from OpenStreetMap, the open map built by contributors worldwide. Live status comes from operators who join the GeoEV network.
Which countries are covered?
GeoEV maps 189,114 charging sites across 173 countries and territories, counted from OpenStreetMap and refreshed weekly. Operator-reported live status expands as more operators join.
Which plugs does GeoEV understand?
CCS, Type 2, CHAdeMO, Tesla / NACS, Type 1 (J1772) and GB/T. Choose your car's plug and GeoEV recommends only the places you can actually use.
Is GeoEV free to use?
Yes. Finding chargers and comparing places to charge in the GeoEV app is free, with no account needed.
How do operators participate?
Charging operators, utilities, associations and regulators can join the GeoEV network to publish live status directly, keep their information current and see national coverage. Request participation and our team will be in touch.
